🌍 CitySpotter non raccoglie dati degli utenti e non comunica con server esterni. Tutti i dati che usa — mappe del terreno e database delle città — sono già inclusi nell'app e provengono esclusivamente da fonti pubbliche e gratuite.
🌍 CitySpotter does not collect user data and does not communicate with external servers. All the data it uses — terrain maps and city databases — are already bundled in the app and come exclusively from public, free sources.
La Shuttle Radar Topography Mission della NASA ha mappato la superficie terrestre da bordo dello Space Shuttle nel 2000. I suoi dati indicano l'altitudine di ogni punto del pianeta con una risoluzione di 90 metri. CitySpotter li usa per capire se una collina o una montagna si trova tra te e una città, nascondendola alla vista.
NASA's Shuttle Radar Topography Mission mapped Earth's surface from aboard the Space Shuttle in 2000. Its data indicates the altitude of every point on the planet with 90-meter resolution. CitySpotter uses them to understand if a hill or mountain lies between you and a city, hiding it from view.
Gratuito Dati apertiIl database delle città (coordinate, nome, popolazione) proviene da OpenStreetMap e GeoNames, due progetti collaborativi che raccolgono dati geografici in modo aperto e verificato. Attualmente contiene 13.825 città italiane, con espansione pianificata verso altri paesi.
The city database (coordinates, name, population) comes from OpenStreetMap and GeoNames, two collaborative projects that collect geographic data openly and verifiably. Currently contains 13,825 Italian cities, with planned expansion to other countries.
Gratuito Open Database LicenseLa realtà aumentata (le etichette sovrapposte alla fotocamera) è gestita da ARKit e SceneKit, i framework di Apple per iOS. Il GPS e la bussola sono gestiti rispettivamente da CoreLocation e CoreMotion. Sono le stesse tecnologie usate dalle app di navigazione e dai giochi in realtà aumentata.
The augmented reality (labels overlaid on the camera) is handled by ARKit and SceneKit, Apple's frameworks for iOS. GPS and compass are managed by CoreLocation and CoreMotion respectively. These are the same technologies used by navigation apps and augmented reality games.
Incluso in iOSI dati OpenStreetMap sono distribuiti sotto Open Database License (ODbL). I dati NASA SRTM sono pubblici e disponibili gratuitamente. CitySpotter rispetta tutte le condizioni di utilizzo di questi dataset.
OpenStreetMap data is distributed under the Open Database License (ODbL). NASA SRTM data is public and freely available. CitySpotter complies with all usage conditions of these datasets.
